Downtown Walnut Ridge, Inc. has over $1,000 total in matching grants from Main Street Arkansas and community donors to encourage business and property owners in the historic commercial district to get new signage, window repair, lettering, or other small projects that can be completed between July 15 and September 15, 2011.

The deadline to apply is June 30.

GUIDELINES

EXTERNAL ONLY!

This round of mini-grants is only for outside improvements that can be seen from the streets, for projects started after July 15 and completed by September 15, 2011.

DECISIONS

This is a competitive mini-grant application process.  Submission of an application does not guarantee an award. Downtown Walnut Ridge will submit all proposed renovations (i.e. plans, building materials, color selections, signage, etc.) for approval to Main Street Arkansas state staff, so you will have feedback on your proposed project, even if you do not win cash.

WINNERS

Each mini-grant awarded will require a cash match of at least 1-1 from the business and/or property owner. (Example: hanging sign $300 + door lettering $100 = $400 total. A winner could get up to $200 reimbursed. The other funds could come from the business or the property owner.)

Photographs of completed work must be submitted to the Downtown Walnut Ridge office along with receipts for the final reimbursement.
